Don't know if google pays simply for seein the image or only if it is clicked on. That said, this was meant as a joke. While I don't know, I would suspect that the ad revenue from the site amounts to little more than a tip.

Does the leader get paid if I allow ads or do I have to click on them?

mozillaZine forums is owned and maintained by one person as [url=http://www.mozillazine.org/about/]it is not a part of nor run by Mozilla.org in any way[/url]. The Google Ads are to help for any costs. Mozilla has their own support forum at support.mozilla.org/questions/ for a while now.

The advertising is there so the owner of the forums can afford to maintain them.

On the new posting pages I sometimes see advertising like messages on the top and also the bottom of the pages. Why?
