What is the account name?

It cannot be fireslug2 since you are using it while as a Guest and Kafka does not exist.

Perhaps you mean fireslug ? as it has a wicked.net.nz email address.

I appreciate the effort, but still can't proceed:
1) original username/password fails for reason noted above
2) username and email still not found when I request a new password
3) can't create a new account with different username and same email because the email is already in use

It's not worth much effort for one random user, but the underlying problem might be affecting others.

I did a "Forced Reactivation" so you should see an email soon.

When I try to log in, a message comes back: "It was not possible to convert your password when updating this bulletin board’s software..."

When I use the forgot password utility, it says username/email not found.

If I try to start over and create a new account, it says username and email are already in use.

Kafka is chuckling from the grave. What can I do? I could invent a new username but not a new email.
