Of course, that is right and proper. I completely agree with that. That is a different thing to discussing genuine browser problems that occur when accessing places where such things exist.
"Kids visit these forums" - everyone knows that every single 14 year old boy wants to see adult material and will actively seek it out.
Yes, there is some really gross stuff out there that not even the most enlightened adults should see, but, let's not kid ourselves. In general, the child protection angle is a legal one that, while I understand the reasons for it's existence, is, frankly, not based in reality.
BUT - the legal stuff is why I suggested a room only accessible by adults - and separated so that those that don't want to see it don't have to.

There are plenty of sites that discuss adult content, yes, but, if there is a site that deals with Firefox issues related to such sites, I am yet to find it.
