I've had bad luck trying to use "file -> save file as" etc. to do that. I suggest you print it using a "print to pdf" print queue rather than to a actual printer. That feature is offered in windows 10. If you install the
free verison of Nitro's pdf reader it will create a similar print queue. You should be able to find similar freeware if you don't like it. I've never run into a page limit using print to pdf, though I assume one exists if you run out of resources due to using a ridiculously high page count.
