Secure Connection Failed
Now getting after I enter Log in and Password @ Forums.mozillazine.org
Secure Connection Failed
SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG
What is strange this is happening with all browsers now.
Even when it says Reload I get same error.
I then have to go back to the http://forums.mozillazine.org/ and get it that way.
Doing that shows I am logged in.
Edit: After I posted this it the error came up because it could read the following I guess.
https://forums.mozillazine.org:80/viewt ... &t=3097150

Re: Secure Connection Failed
jl123,
If you are trying to use "https" then there are numerous threads in the MozillaZine Site Discussion about this. But basically the point is this: due to forum issues at present, use "http" until further notice.

I will direct Firefox to use HTTP instead of HTTPS.

Re: Secure Connection Failed
I've been using https for months. Seems to affect people randomly.

No, I haven't heard anything new on it.

Re: Secure Connection Failed
On Firefox? Hmm... I think the problem only affect KB, but seems site wide, uhm, it could be the server software send wrong header for SSL.Snake4 wrote:i just tried to use HTTPS again an i still get the same problem as the OP posted
anyway the problem is for some reason seems phpBB redirect the https to http port rather on https port. you can see
Code: Select all

that's the problem, could some people go and check the phpBB code? I would like to help if I got access to check the conf and the code. Because of redirection for most of the time.Code: Select all

I seen that (from your link), so in the end we must wait then? Can we close this thread then, and redirect all to that thread?

Re: Secure Connection Failed
My workaround for this annoyance is to click the Board Index link whenever I do an action I know will trigger the Secure Connection Failed dialog.
I have the site configured to keep me logged in, so if I mess up and get the dialog, I just click my bookmark or remove :80 from the link.
