I think I got them all.

Been a tad busy, trying to remove AVAST & then AVIRA, which did not want to install correctly but it hung on for dear life even in Safe Mode.
A system restore point, that I always make before a new installation, allowed me to remove the damn thing.

Don't feel too bad, had to yank a Hard-drive and then disagree with the bios as to who's on first.
