... has a link in the posters sig to a site that sure LOOKS like an advertisement for various e-cigarette sources. i'm unable to decide if it _quite_ steps over the line into being a commercial link in his sig.

This is not a sig. It is part of the post but apparently he used a bug in phpBB to "hide" this part from the edit function.
I can see it in the HTML source but when i click "Edit" only the part before the line is shown.
Some one was faster than me and BF cache confused me.

Thanks. It really doesn't matter since the fellow edited all of his posts today to add it (it wasn't a real sig). I removed it and issued a warning to the fellow. If they reappear he will dispatched to the sinners' ballroom.

Could a moderator look at the code posted by the OP in this thread? Looks suspicious to me - the "signs" seem to be retrieving IP addresse and location for each person viewing that thread.

Is there anyway that user has tapped into the forum moderator console to retrieve that data and display it?
Any possibility that user is collecting data on each user who views that thread? Like thru a Bug in the forum software?
