The information in this link no longer works, as tested on Thunderbird 31.3.0 in Linux.

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Changing_the_ ... hunderbird

The information in this link DOES work.

http://opensource.about.com/od/Internet ... erbird.htm

I joined here just to try to update this. I was not able to change the wiki directly, so decided to post here instead.

Thanks for a great product! I LOVE Thunderbird!

Frank.

I'm going to move this to our Site Discussion forum. Thanks for your report and we'll see if someone can verify and correct the entry.

The KB may be having server issues. I just attempted to access the link via a Google search and it worked perfectly fine. It was not cached on my machine as I always dump the cache and have never visited that page. However, subsequent attempts to load that page from your link as well as from Google all failed with the following error:

ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Changing_the_ ... hunderbird

The following error was encountered:

Connection Failed

The system returned:

(110) Connection timed out

The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again.
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.

Just to add to what patrickjdempsey said:
I got the same several hours ago, thought it might just be some sort of tempoary glitch at the time that would be resolved in short order (like the recent forum outage), but I see it's still like that here as well...

Just a note. If the KB goes down please post in a new topic titled such. We are much more likely to see it. 90% if the time it is just a matter of Kerz giving it a kick.
