About six weeks ago I suddenly found myself logged out (username : Happy112)
Okay, tried to sign in - got the "You've been successfully logged in" to immediately get logged out again.
Tried again - got all kinds of error messages : "Invalid form", "you've exceeded the number ..... "

Gave it a rest for a few days, then tried again - to no avail.

Yes, I did all 'the usual': clear cache, cookies, new profile, Safe Mode (even though I don't use extensions or themes etc.).

ReCaptcha on this site doesn't work anymore since March 31 ...... is anybody aware of that ?

I created a different account using Edge, so I'm able to post again, but it bothers me not being able to use my 'old' account :
I want things 'back to normal' - bring 'Happy112' back ..... (and post here using the fox instead of Edge).

Happy112 uses this email address : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx-at-kpnmail.nl

Any help would be sooo appreciated !!!

I've done a Forced Re-activation,
so try again.

Your Acct. was never de-activated & is still active, according to your Profile.
But, you've changed your passwords twice in the last 2 weeks, so ?

May have been George, our resident Green Gremlin playing games again.

I "lost" my avatar the other night.

Yes, guilty as charged : changed my password (as I forgot my original password).

Just got the email, and man, was I happy ! (no pun intended)

Clicked the link in the email, and it took me to this :

" The activation key you supplied does not match any in the database. "

??????? I didn't supply anything ..... just clicked a link, expecting to find everything back to normal.

Well, if this IS George - what a PITT, that guy ! (last 'T' stands for 'toosh').

Quite frankly : I was suspecting it was somebody else pulling a dirty trick on me ...

Oh, and that ReCaptcha : MozillaZine needs to use a different ReCaptcha since March 31 - that's what the ReCaptcha box says.

Clear everything out & try logging in again.
I've activated your Acct.

The "Boss" will have to attend to anything related to the site.

First attempt : "wrong password" , so I got a new password.

Second attempt :
" You exceeded the maximum allowed number of login attempts. In addition to your username and password you now also have to solve the CAPTCHA below. "

And that ReCaptcha no longer works on this site ......

The "Boss" will have to attend to anything related to the site.

Well, 'guess we'll have to wait for Bruce Springsteen then .....

Thank you for all your help though, LIMPET235 - 'sure appreciate it !

After wards, please change this password to whichever one you want.

Did it - used the new password and (what I was afraid of) got this again :

" You exceeded the maximum allowed number of login attempts. In addition to your username and password you now also have to solve the CAPTCHA below."

And that ReCaptcha box says :

V1 SHUTDOWN ON 2018-03-31

Direct site owners to g.co/recaptcha/upgrade

Oh man, I should have stuck to my "It's no big deal ... " rather than to put you through all this trouble.

I'm so sorry ......

'Promise not to bring this up again and just use my 'new identity'.

(But I know that I will secretely try to bring Happy112 back to live one of these days)

Please, not secretly. You have access to the forums now under the new ID. If you think that in the future there may be any justification for fighting with "George" the gremlin, be up front about it.

I only meant that when I decide to give it another shot, I won't bother anybody with my attempts and leave you all in peace.

And now I'd better make myself scarce before I do something that I do best : speak/act first and think later ....
