This preference was removed in Firefox 63:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/App.update.enabled

However, there is now a policy to replace it -- more info at:

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/customiz ... liciesjson

app.update.enabled = true is no longer needed for this preference:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/App.update.auto

But the policy would make that preference moot.
