Error in SPF setup (Mails from MozillanZine)

Post by MrCal »

It seem the SPF setup is not correct.
I just created my account and the activation mail from MozillaZine was marked as spam because of misconfigured SPF record.

From the message header:

Code: Select all

Authentication-Results: mx.google.com;
spf=softfail (google.com: domain of transitioning apache@mozillazine.org does not designate 2605:bc80:3010::137 as permitted sender) smtp.mailfrom=apache@mozillazine.org
(the activation mail was to to my gmail account)

I see:

Received-SPF: softfail
(mozillazine.org: Sender is not authorized by default to use 'apache@mozillazine.org' in 'mfrom' identity, however domain is not currently prepared for false failures (mechanism '~all' matched))
receiver=mx5.messagingengine.com;
identity=mailfrom;
envelope-from="apache@mozillazine.org";
helo=smtp3.osuosl.org;

in mail I get from MozillaZine in my Fastmail account, so its not just Gmail that is effected. There is nothing we can do about it at the moment unfortunately.
