This is just a test post so ignore or delete please. A user reports getting "insecure connection" error when posting in the forum so i'm just test replying to see if I get the same issue.

People may get the https://forums.mozillazine.org:80 if they are using the links in emails sent upon replies to threads if they are using https://forums.mozillazine.org

https:// is a rather recent change and can have issues still while the http:// still works fine http://forums.mozillazine.org

Also if people have questions/issues about the mozillaZine forums, please post in the MozillaZine Site Discussion http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=11 and not in some random thread in Firefox Support section of the forum as this was in. You can post as a Guest in MozillaZine Site Discussion, though they require post approval due to spam.

OSU is looking after the forum and we did have a admin doing work for a time as a project, however it was a student and he graduated. Last I heard they were trying to get another student(s) up on doing this.

I have the same issue, when I log in it redirects me to the page where I was but with :80 and I have to manually remove the :80 part or end up in an unencrypted connection.

https://.....:80 means you're trying to connect using HTTPS (TLS encryption) over port 80 which is HTTP (cleartext) and has no idea how to understand encrypted requests. See also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTPS?use ... r#Security
