Afficionado or Aficionado?
In Spanish, this is written with only one "f". I believe in English, you can write it with one or two, I believe.
It looks *very* strange to me with two "f"s and probably to everybody who knows Spanish or German (where it is also written with only one f).

Both exist: According to http://www.webster.com/cgi-bin/dictiona ... fficionado , "Afficionado" is a variant of « Aficionado ».
ps: wow, David, you got a l33t user title :)

ok ok
I just wanted to mention that afficionado is a rare writing and that it looks
very wrong in the language where the word originally comes from: Spanish.
And that it looks nearly equally wrong in most other languages except English.
Forget it.

*admittedly, not at -21 degC

What's l33t?
The exact way to find it is: l33t -> 3l33t -> eleet -> elite
You should read MegaTokyo, you'll learn to speak l33t quickly :)

My dictionary says one F.
I never noticed the spelling till I happened to see a msg in another forum from someone who said that he'd rather be called a "Phoenix aficionado". It was only then that I realized that "Mozilla afficionado" was being written with two f's.
That looked odd to me, since I thought the word (being a Spanish word) should probably have one and not two. So I reached for the nearest dictionary, and found only the single-F spelling.
