That bug was about 2.0.0.2 failing to autofill passwords in certain cases. The stored passwords were not lost, you could still view then in Options/Preferences.

It's certainly a major regression, but I just wanted to point out it wasn't quite like you described.

Frank - while Mozillazine is certain a large and important support venue, it isn't an official Mozilla site. Any known info gets posted to bugs or dev blogs. People who help in IRC and here both know where to look for the official word on things and then propagate it to their users. Also, I really don't understand your comment about this not being IRC. A lot of people have tossed that around tonight but as far as I know, none that have ever been there to see how we do things (maybe ever is too strong, I understand years ago the support on IRC was structured differently and less effectively than how it's managed now).
