Re: Knowledge Base - Help, Feedback, Requests
Phil, after beating my head against the wall I finally at least figured out which setting to change to revert to older Firefox behavior:
viewtopic.php?f=23&t=2514425
Judging from the bug, it looks like a ton of stuff was changed in core to make that all work.

Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.

Can I get a wiki account, please?
If not, this time I just wanted to add some info to:

It might be a good idea to replace "Previous maintained version" with a reference to the ESR. If they have manged to get this far without a problem the ESR will likely solve their problem while getting on a path that will remain safe.

Hi Tony,
That link is incorrect.
Try this one for the KB about:config page.....When the KB is back up.

Well, I pasted the text of the error page via the X11 clipboard. When I click that same link, not in my forum post but in the message from which I copied it (I left that tab open), it now sends me to the "About:config entries" page in the KB, which is indeed up again.
Best regards,
Tony

Re: Knowledge Base - Help, Feedback, Requests
Strange.
I've seen the "http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config_entries" link posted quite a few times
& it's always given that same result.
eg; Page not found etc.
Must be how the forum? interprets it?
Dunno enuff to comment.

Moved, but you posted this in the KB thread, not the Spam thread.

Re: Knowledge Base - Help, Feedback, Requests
If you have to ask about settings then you may not be up for editing the wiki.
Go to about:config and filter for
app.update
All the update mechanisms are shown then as far as I can remember

Maybe we should just permanently lock this thread and create a new one to replace this one? It's pretty clear that this thread is never going to stop being spammed.
