Camino seems to very fast, but...

Post by firebrand3 »

How do you install Lastpass on it? Should I downgrade to a previous version, and how, because it says it's incompatible with the current version.

How do I block Ads on Camino? I searched but got things from 2006 and things might have changed since then.

And is there a shortkey to moving across the tabs? in FF and Chrome, command + # goes to tab number #. In Camino, Safari, and Opera, it goes to bookmark #. So how do I change that to be like Chrome and FF.

Also how do you find different themes/skins for Camino? It seems hard to find.

Lastpass needs to fix their version-detection code. It's been broken for a while. See this thread for more: viewtopic.php?t=2003009 And PLEASE tell the developers that their code is broken. They can't fix what they don't know about, and Camino has absolutely no control over LastPass code.

For the tab shortcuts, you probably want something like FireTabs, available here: http://escapedthoughts.com/camino/hacks/

There are also other ways to block unwanted content, but that is the easiest one.

Ordinarily, you'd find them readily at http://pimpmycamino.com/, but the host broke the site and it hasn't been repaired yet. You can find many of the themes on davedit's site, however: http://davedit.fiberoptikz.tk/camino.html

I tried to run FireTab but it says it
There is no application set to open the document “FireTabs.bundle”.

Did you read the instructions on the page where you downloaded FireTabs?

I am still using Reinhold Penner's "Caminicon" "http://web.mac.com/reinholdpenner/Software/CaminIcon_Icon_Themes.html" You can use one of his many themes or mix and match to a custom set. You can also set his "CaminoKnight" to change to the preferred skin on an update to the latest nightly build.
