Sports Illustrated Rendering?
For the past few months, Camino seems to have major issue rendering pages on si.com about 7 times out of 10. Somehow, it thinks there's some object on the far left that has to "push" the text into a skinny column with a load of blank space down the left hand side. No, turning ad blocking off does NOT solve the issue (as it does for a ton of other rendering issues). Yes, said pages render just fine in Firefox, Safari & even Chrome.

Which version of Firefox? A valid test would be 3.6.something, ideally 3.6.28.

Firefox 7.0 release channel. Says it's up to date. No idea how to check gecko version in FF.
Went and checked and their site says the current version is 15... but I think that's for Lion & above.

Hmmm, 7.0 that I have says it's up to date when I run it's version check... so I thought that meant it was beyond 10.6.8.
Side note, I too am sticking to ios5.x for my mobile (iPad3)! MUCH rather have street view than Siri (and the other big things (panoramas, Passbook) are not allowed on iPads).

You need to download 3.6.8 from here:
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/f ... mac/en-US/
if you want to test it.

Re: Sports Illustrated Rendering?
Yes, a really old version of FF has the same issue as Camino does today. So I guess the issue here is that Camino is staying with a really old version of gecko that has, at least, this specific issue. So I'm off to get a nightly...

So off I go to get the latest nightly.
I can not change my icons w/CaminIcon, that bums me. AND it still has the rendering bug with si.com.

Re: Sports Illustrated Rendering?
There haven't been any changes in the Gecko code since the last release of Camino, so a nightly certainly won't show a difference.
Side note back: I'm not upgrading iOS because I want to keep my jailbreak for my iPod.
