Hi, RPMozley,
Do you know if Apple is deliberately crippling Safari on PPC machines? Camino is so much faster. Anyhow when I went to download the PPC 7450 optimized version of Camino 2.1, FileFactory reports that it is unable to locate the file.

Well Apple have dropped updates for PPC Safari, some may say that in itself is crippling it.

That's odd, may have been just a temporary server issue with them as I just recently checked it out and didn't get any error.

The cached top sites and page preview stuff in Safari has slowed it down greatly. If you clear that out (via the Reset menu item), things will speed up quite a bit.

RPM, your optimized Camino ROCKS. Been using your optimized FF for a long time, and just tried Camino this past week. It's wonderful!

Thank you!!!!

Optimised 2.1.1 coming soon...

Currently in the build phase. Hopefully upload them later on tonight barring any problems cropping up.

OK, no uploading possible at FileFactory (at the moment) so all builds are available in the Camino folder over in MediaFire.

http://www.mediafire.com/rpm-mozilla

I'll have to wait until I can upload to FileFactory before I can update my web site with the news.

2.1.1 is workin great!

Um... the whole file locker mess is going to be a problem for a while, I think. FileFactory, especially, is behind the curve. RapidShare seems to be doing pretty well this week. I'm curious... do you have some stats on how many times your builds have been downloaded, total bandwidth etc?

Thanks!

I only get basic stats like number of downloads for a file. FileFactory also gives the time of last download, where as MediaFire gives total bandwidth but I think that's over the whole lifetime of the account (nothing as useful as maybe daily bandwidth).

Hi, RPM
Once again I have to ask for the actual current link to the Core1 Intel 2.1.2 build for Camino. Both File Factory and Mediafire are now too messed up for me to find anything on them. And while I'm at it how about a direct link to your Core 1 Intel build for Firefox 3.6.28? Mozilla has "improved" Firefox to the point that it's unusably buggy in the current builds and they've deleted access to the earlier builds. 3.6.28 is the only build that seems to get fixes and improvements. Don't know what I'll do when Mozilla drops support for them. Thanks again for your long time service!

Umm. I haven't actually done any intel optimised builds other than for Camino. If you want the Mozilla official builds of Firefox 3.6.x they're still available @ http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/

I'll have to get back to you later for the link to CoreDuo Camino as I'm not on laptop currently.

Oops! I managed to post this request in the wrong thread. Sorry about that :D No wonder I couldn't find the Intel builds in the links on this thread :( But I did eventually find your Core 1 Intel build for Camino and I'm posting with it now. I did see that you've done no Firefox Intel builds and that's ok, but thanks for the link to the Firefox versions page; this is the link I lost recently and hadn't been able to find.
