Re: Camino [1.6.1] (-O3 GCC4.0) G3 and G4(7400 & 7450)
Your instructions are clear, thanks.
That thread you pointed to gives the quickest way to find your processor - type "machine" into Terminal. My PPC7410 reports itself to be a 7400.
Thanks again.

just found your optimized builds for the 7450. i have to say i am often skeptical of "fixes" etc. such as this but i have to say the difference is noticeable and it runs much better...
many kudos and thanks.

Tiger Unified Tabs
Here's my attempt at making the tabs look more unified with Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.x).
http://www.rpm-mozilla.org.uk/builds/camino/tiger_unified_tabs.htm
There are two versions, one with the (almost) standard close buttons (the hover style pops up instead) and one with mini Mac OS X close buttons. Preview images are available at my site.

Re: Camino [1.6.4] (-O3 GCC4.0) G3 and G4(7400 & 7450)
thank you for your speedy updates! (I am using both your Camino 1.6.4 and your FF 2.0.0.17 on both G3 and G4, on 10.3.9 and 10.4.11)
I am always unsure what to do when a new update comes out and the optimized builds aren't up yet ("what do I use?"), but your updates follow the official releases real quick

am posting with it now
I'm curious - do you have any kind of statistics as to the relative demand for your various different builds?

The only statistics I have available to me is how many times each file has been "downloaded" from the file hosting sites. It doesn't account for any uncompleted downloads though.

well, I'm posting this from a 500MHz G3 on your 1.6.5 build; I have access to more modern machines, but just know you're helping guys like me keep old machines alive

Camino 1.6.6 builds
My optimised builds of Camino 1.6.6 are up and available now.
It seems Mozilla aren't going to do anymore security updates to the 1.8.1.x Gecko code base, so this one could well be the last Camino 1.6.x update. Very sad for all you Mac users still stuck on OSX 10.3.9

FYI, we're planning at least one more Camino 1.6.x update, which is why we didn't include any language about this being the last release to support 10.3.9 (and there's a good chance that bug fixes, like the one for bug 470049, and security fixes will continue to land for Gecko 1.8.1 for a little while).
Mac OS X 10.3.9 • PowerBook G4 17" 1.33 GHz | Mac OS X 10.5.x • MacBook Pro 15" 2.2 GHz

@Uncle Asad:
Well yes there will be the odd bug fix but for security updates it's a different story. Excuse my semantics.

Right, Mozilla Corp does not plan any more Firefox 2.0.0.x security updates; we do plan to release additional Camino 1.6.x security/stability updates.
