Since we know those tiny buttons could be made to exist because of the bug, it would be awesome if some genius could find a way to force them into existence even if it required an extension.
The reports I'm getting on Hide Caption Titlebar... is that it is also broken in the default theme on Win7 so it is really going to be the responsibility of that extension's developer to fix the issue.
