Re: Classic Compact 4.0.9b4 testing needed: Windows, Linux &
@Demonkunga,
The question becomes, how far do I take the Win7 glass support? It is going to take a lot of testing and a lot of screen captures to catch all of the details. From your last screen captures I have enough information to fix the menubar and tab bar styling when tabs are on top, but what do they look like when they are below the navbar? What does the bookmarks toolbar look like?

KLB-
I just upgraded from to 4.0.9b4 and noticed these bugs:
The CCO tab width settings no longer work.
The CCO "condensed menu" option is broken. Whether it's set to yes or no, my menu looks like this: Menu File Edit View (etc). The odd "Menu" entry that shows up to the left of "File" is broken and does nothing on click.
I'm still running this on Ubuntu 10.04.

@Dawa73,
Good catch on the menubar. I fixed it. I can't replicate your issue with tab width settings. Are you using another extension that also plays around with tab widths (e.g. Tab Mix Plus)?

Yes... how far? Good question. I don't use windowed mode much, so it isn't as big a deal to me, because currently in fullscreen mode, your theme has glass just like the default theme.
I'd say, mimic the default theme and make the tab bar have glass behind it in windowed mode.

CC & CCO v4.0.9b5 WARNING HEAVY BREAKAGE ALERT!
For Win7/Vista users there is a strong probability of broken glass with this build of CC. I'm trying to implement more Aero Glass behaviors without the benefit of being able to test them on my computer first. I am pulling what I believe to be the relevant style rules from the Aero version of the default browser.css file and putting them in my "@media all and (-moz-windows-compositor) {}" wrapper to target only Win7/Vista glass. My hope is to achieve a more native look. No promises what B5 will look like, however, as I need to incrementally add style rules until I've covered my bases. Screen captures will be greatly appreciated.
NON-AERO FIXES
THE BUILDS
Again, if you are a Win7/Vista user in Aero Glass mode expect some broken glass. I also need screen captures to figure out what impact my changes have had. This will take several betas to fully implement glass support.

NON-AERO FIXES
- Fixed white text labels in back/forward button history when colored backgrounds are used.
- Fixed broken merge menu button
- Reduced tab height in Win7/Vista by 2px when tabs on top and in title bar and browser window maximized. My goal is to compact the tabs as much as possible while still reaching the top of browser window without colliding with the right hand title bar buttons.
- Added in styling for pinned tabs that have a title change.
- Fixed styling of addon window buttons for hover and active states.
- Adjusted start position of tabs in titlebar when Firefox button moved elsewhere.
- Addressed Firefox 5.0 theme changes listed in this post with the exception of bug 634065, which requires more research and understanding on my part.
- Fixed styling of bookmark buttons when activated (3D effect was goofed up).

I'm still not seeing a pinned tab notification. Seems nothing was changed... I think maybe you linked to or uploaded the wrong one
It still says b4 in the theme window, too. That slimmer Firefox button looks funny. I like it slimmer, but I don't like the extra space underneath it.
Default theme with notified app tab

Color me totally sheepish, I FTP'd the files to the wrong folder again. Everyone downloaded B4.
Sorry about that. I've updloaded B5 to the correct folder and everyone should try to grab it again.
I'm telling you, years from now I'm going to find builds of CC or CCO in the stupidest places on my web server.

Though... this isn't noticeable enough, in my opinion.

Wow! You mean I didn't totally break things? Color me amazed!.
It does look like I need some background color to buttons and I need to work on the background of tabs some. I'm also sure my "flat" options totally break everything.
The changed pinned tab look is the default style instructions from FF4. I'll have play with them some to see if I can get them to jump out better.
Thank you for the screen captures!
