Install links seem to point to 0.1.2 for Fx1.1.

Update notifications

Post by sanderg »

I am now running 0.1.6 with FF 1.5.x, but haven't ever seen notifications for updated themes or extensions. Am I missing something or isn't that in the theme?

0.1.6 is 1.5 compatible. (or should be) are you noticing anything missing? (I don't theme extensions)

Yes. Perhaps I was not clear enough? I am missing a notification message or an icon "updates available" like the green icon and the tray alert in the default theme.

That doesn't exist in 1.5, in any theme.

0.1.7 needs fix for build number

Post by sanderg »

Currently running 0.1.7. It is disabled when running a 1.5.0.1 nightly (but can be made compatible again). I guess the version number needs a bump.

hmmm anyone know what the official UMO stance of max version number is. Do they want that to be 1.6 or 1.5 ?

Hi Anders,

A maxVersion of "1.5.0.*" is required for compatibility with 1.5.0.x builds. Your theme was disabled on upgrade, but I hacked the install.rdf so I could keep using it. Figured you might want to know!

UMO will allow for compatibility with the trunk builds (1.6a1), but I don't know what version number is in use for them.

yeah I got an email about this, this morning, and it's retarded becuase it's exactly oposite of their previous policy. *sigh* I'll update the rdf and I have some minor fixes that will get added in when I update.

I agree with that. Currently running Smoke in Thunderbird only because Whitehart is not available for it.
