Theming Min/Max/Close on Win8

Post by foxyshadis »

So I've run into a problem, and I can't find a fix anywhere. No amount of searching has turned up anyone even asking about this: How can you theme the Windows 8 Min/Max/Close buttons that appear on the upper right, in whatever basic Windows color scheme you've chosen? It seems like they always overlay the theme, and really stand out from the rest of the browser if a contrasting theme is applied.

It's really best to leave them alone. Firefox is doing some seriously weird zoodoo to get those buttons to actually work and covering them up usually breaks them. Also, depending on the Reviewer, modifying those buttons might get your theme rejected from AMO if you try to upload it. (Although I'm not 100% sure of their policy on that)
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.
