I just checked in the patch for bug 222654, both trunk and 1.8-branch. The former global/scrollbars.css has been replaced by nativescrollbars.css (used on Mac) and xulscrollbars.css (used on other platforms). Both files are shipped in classic.jar on all platforms.
Old:
MacOSX: scrollbars.css
Other: scrollbars.css
New:
MacOSX: nativescrollbars.css
Other: xulscrollbars.css
scrollbars.css replaced: nativescrollbars and xulscrollbars

The question is, what are the contents of xulscrollbars.css and nativescrollbars.css? What are the references to them? In theory, if the controls are outside classic.jar, we could make themes that serve both linux/Windows and Mac.
Please post any answers to the theme changes thread. Thanks.
