I have Charamel 1.2a installed in both FF (DeerPark) and TB and everything seems to be fine, except I get no scrollbars. Any ideas?

Thanks!

tab drag n drop

Post by rolypoly »

Hi,
I'm experiencing the angry flickering tabs. I'm on version 1.2.0.1 and ffox 1.5. Generally, I can just cope with it, but today I had a full system meltdown (not me personally, but my computer) over it and had to reboot the thing. I dont know how it got 'stuck' in the drag and drop mode, but it did. It just seemed caught in a vicious cycle. I even went to the corner store for my coffee (good way to start off day, eh? :) ) and came back, still going, so I rebooted.

Way earlier in this thread, I think someone mentioned a fix for this problem. Is that true? It also reads like it was removed, pending v1.3? If 1.3 isn't available, can someone place the fix online? It wouldn't be so horrible, if it weren't for the lockup today. I'm surprised at the numbers of times I've accidentally moved tabs (never on purpose) in the past week since my ff upgrade. Is there a workaround available? Thanks.

There is no fix for this since it's a Firefox Bug, not Charamel's...

As workaround you could install TabMix Plus Dev extensions from here:

http://tmp.garyr.net/forum/viewtopic.ph ... f8d4b79fb2

and use its native drop indicator.

Yes, I knew Charamel wasn't to blame. Unfortunately, I couldn't decipher some of lucx's comments earlier and while I saw the talk about TMP, I didn't realize that was the solution. I was actually worried it'd make matters worse and that TMP would make Charamel completely unusable.

But, I've tried the TMP (0.3.0.5) and it works beautifully now. Thank you so much for your guidance.

Hi, Charamel 1.2b is available at http://members.shaw.ca/lucx/
At first glance, the ugly drop-down list problem in filter rules was fixed.
I wasn't able to find a readme :-(
