Can someone explain this?

Post by shoestring »

I get this message nearly every time I go to the Themes prefs (exception seems to be when I've just installed a new nightly):

<A HREF="http://www.ziplink.net/~shoestring//clipboard1.jpg"><IMG SRC="http://www.ziplink.net/~shoestring//clipboard1.jpg"></A>

I wanted to try out "Little Mozilla", but I'm afraid it will be too difficult to get back to "Classic" if I do ...

it's always been like that for me, and i've never been able to go back to the classic theme after changing it to something else. also, the modern theme doesn't appear to work either.

Try LittlePhoenix instead. http://texturizer.net/phoenix/themes.html

the phoenix modern.jar contains virtually no theme :)

I suspect it's part of the size reduction strategy, although why it still gets into installed-chrome.txt and hence the themes dialog is anyone's guess : )

Agreed that modern should be removed entirely, I'm sure they'll do that eventually. I find that I can't switch back to Classic, either. Classic ought to be renamed as well, but I'm sure that will happen in time too. I would call this a bug, since you're screwed once you switch themes.

Classic (orbit) works fine for me, I can switch back to it fine on last night's build.
