What I say is that it is considered a button by main theme, other themes and even IE browser. Of course I also don't agree with what you say that it is just a link and shouldn't behave as a button.

I really don't get what you see in findbar. I don't see anything like theme coloring or rounded borders. You sure you don't have some customization in you usedChrome that is doing some weird things?

What is a link? A clickable entity, usually text, with an attached URL, that triggers a navigation to this URL when clicked. So what is a bookmark on the bar? Clickable? Check. Descriptive text? Check. Attached URL? Check. Makes the browser navigate? Check. Not a link, then?

I guess I need to do screen shots. This is coming from a new profile with no extensions, all theme option on defaults, no userchrome.

Image vs. Image
Normal vs. In focus hover effect. Same for previous and highlight buttons. As you can see the palette, button shape and 3D effect are all different.

Image vs. Image
Normal vs. In focus button depressed effect. Same kind of differences.

What about the shifting of the find bar elements I described in the previous post. Can you repro it?

Any chance of getting working css for system page background?

The find textbox maybe could use a border like other edit boxes, not sure. Also it has too much left padding and 0 right, should be less on the left and symmetrical on the right.

This is how I see it in three different installations...

There is no shifting as well.
No.
Will see. There is no margin/padding there. It might need to be added.

When the mouse wheel is turned while right-clicking on the page, the history or list of
Tab is displayed.
However, the color of the menu that has been selected doesn't change.

That sounds like an extension, not normal FFX behavior.

I investigate it.
That is All-in-One Gestures extension.
AIOG picks up the color form global/menu.css pop-up menuitem background-color.

Ok, it was extension related as I suspected. Yes, it happens but I can't find why... don't know what event is triggering the selection effect (tried focus, hover and others without any luck). It's the only place where it happens as other popup menus like the page relates one have proper effects. I can't use the normal menuitem appearance because of the theme changes so I can't fix it.

I guess can't fix it, too.
It is all pulldown menu changes when popup menu background-color is changed.
OK, I use it taking care.

Try using AIOG v0.18, it works for me using FF3 and doesn't have this bug. You can find it on the author's site if you scroll down.

Can you make the depressed state of the highlight all button somewhat more pronounced? Now, in no color, it's just a darkening of the icon and the button doesn't really look depressed as you glance over at the find bar. I think the same effect as the main toolbar depressible buttons like history would be appropriate.

Tried the slim bookmark bar option, noticed the different hover for folders and bookmarks. Is that an oversight or intended?

Image
  1. The history and bookmarks sidebars have a top border which combines with the bottom border of the bar above it and makes it too thick. Would look better as a single line.
  2. Don't ask me why but it seems the sidebar header bar and the tab bar should be the same hight
  3. Is that bit of fuzziness at the active tab bottom left (also right) corner deliberate?
