I actually saw the existing Sunbird logo (the roasted duck one) on the About page (when I clicked on the throbber) in the Sunbird app. Reeks of the old Phoenix days I guess. Anyway, here is the latest logo rendered at 300x200 (the size of the about image) with a radial gradient background. More food for thought (but hopefully not duck flambe)

They are based on the "history" icon, which contains a calendar.

They look nice! You're right.. they do match the winstripe theme more.. (No offense mark, yours are great as well, but these seem brighter, etc.. Excellent job on the logo, btw..)

kepstin, can you make the some icons for the options dialog as well?

I've created a version with your icons and made a screenshot. Nice. I've posted the jar as well if you want to see them in action.

btw, does the throbber type thing do anything in sunbird? if so, it should prolly just be the same as the firefox one... if not, it prolly shouldn't be there at all :p

Like I said, it is just a placeholder. Please ignore it.

I think along with a new theme the main calendar-pane needs urgently a visual improvement too. I encountered unadjustable colors and even numbers laying on top of the labellings... This pane should smoothly fit into the rest of the program or theme, at the moment it looks like something hard-coded. I don't want to compare sunbird with the msoffice03-calendar but look at this picture:

I agree with you, rP2, but let's split this into a new topic so this one doesnt get off track.. We can post this in the "Other mozilla.org Applications" forum

kepstin's icons have my vote too. They are a better match for Firefox/winstripe and make more sense for a default set which sports an integrated look (for this "dis-intregrated" app). It just makes sense...

Nice to see you someone that's fairminded, Mark! Too many people these days with egos too big to recognize someone else's work.

Kudos! :-)

Do you plan to do the complete set? The toolbar is just a beginning.
