AutoBCC AFTER sending an email

Post by Matt666 »

Hi there.

I'm Matt, this is my first post. Sorry for my bad english, I'm french.

I have a problem with the Auto BCC native tool in Thunderbird.

I often send multiple BCC mails, and all my mails are sent to the address noted in the auto BCC option (ie that of my boss).
But the mail sent to my boss does not contain the addresses in BCC.

While they are visible in the mail copied to the folder "Sent".

To solve the problem I think it could be great to have an extension that sends a BCC (to a predefined address) AFTER sending email, containing hidden addresses sent before.

I don't know if my request is clear (especially in English aha ah) ..

An example is available in outlook through this add-in : Auto Bcc

What do you think?

Is someone could be able to create this extension?

Thank you!
Matt.

The specific purpose of the BCC function is to NOT provide in h3 outgoing message the address to which that particular message was sent. The BCC addresses appear in the copy in your Sent folder because you sent the message and it is there to remind you to whom it was sent.

If the copy to your boss must show his/her address, use the automatic CC option instead of the BCC.

Hi DanRaisch, and thank you for your answer.

Unfortunately, his address has to be hidden.
Ok for the sent folder, it's exactly why I want my boss can see sent addresses !
So could it be possible to have an automatic send of the sent message (with all sent addresses) to a predefined address?
