does a bookmarking extension like this exist?

I have a bunch of links from a site I saved in various folders but the problem is when I click on the folders (each of which has 50+ links) they show up like:

daves forum - view topic - how to remove
daves forum - view topic - what to do when
daves forum - view topic - you need to fix

As you can see the "daves forum - view topic" takes up a lot of space and I can't see specific links unless I go into the menu-bookmarks-organize bookmarks screen. Is there a way to truncate or remove "daves forum - view topic" form my bookmarks?

i use "smart bookmarks bar".
i doubt theres any bookmarks application that can do what you want. you want a renaming addon, not a bookmarking one.
