BugMeNot Improved
I was playing with bugmenot and you know. it's just too darned hard to click the bugmenot button that opens the bugmenot window, copy the username, go back to the page you were on and paist, then go back to the bugmenot window, copy the password, go back to the ....
It's to danmed hard. I won't do it anymore.
So i modified the BugMeNot extension to get the username and password off the bugmenot window and copy them into the appropreiate textboxes on the registration page automaticaly.

very nice. i get CONSTANT requests from people for it to do just this, but i didn't know how to do it. i'll put you on as a contributor and push the new release when you fix the e-mail/username/pword dilemma (like ajc.com) if you'd like. also, is there a way for the popup to close as soon as it grabs the information?

Mkay. the email bug is fixed. So this extension now works with usernames that are email addresses.
And I've fixed it so that when a site gives you a warning page you dont' have to go back to the original registration page for the plugin to work. Just go back to the bugmenot webpage, click the info didn't work button and go back to the warning page.
This extension installed over the bugmenot extension. So it's a good thing if you see just one bugmenot in your extensions thingy.

Geocities sucks.. so dowloading directly is iffy at best. It seams to work better from the install page

Is there a good place to host extensions that is.. erm... free

sdf.lonestar.org provides free web hosting that doesn't suck.
Also, perhaps the best way to do it would be the following:
when you click bugmenot it puts the first one into the fields and doesn't open the window. If it doesn't work, you can go back to the form and click bugmenot again it will take the next one. Or, it could randomly take a u/p from bugmenot each time...

Bugfix #2
If the username has any whitespace charicters on it, bugmenot gets messed up... fixed
Feture add #2
If the username is an email and the username and password are swiched on the bugmenot window, this extension now swiches them back.
Feture add #3
If there is both a user name and an email, bugmenot will now split them up and put them in the appropriate text boxes.
So ajc.com works now. I will look at some ways of auto closing the window. I think i'm going to make it so that the first time you click bugmenot the window will open then close automaticaly. But if bugmenot is opened again it will stay open. Or i could add a second bugmenot button, like, bugmenotauto, or bugmenotfealinglucky. Or i might just auto minimize the bugmenot window, I don't know if i can cleanly do that. Any other suggestions at how to do this
So the next update will probably auto close the first time and stay open the second.

Ok. I think it works pritty sweet now. The way it works now is when you click on the bugmenot button the first time, it opens and closes the bugmenot window automaticaly. The second time you click bugmenot, it keeps the bugmenot window open, thereby alowing you to get alternate user infos. Since this is a pritty major departure I kept the old version up on the server just incase you didn't like the new version. But as I said, it's pritty sweet like it is now.
Please let me know about any sites not working.

ok, new extension is now here:
http://extensions.roachfiend.com/index.html#bugmenot
and it'll be pushed soon for bugmenot.mozdev.orgl.
i e-mailed the extension info to texturizer.net and mozilla update, so it should be updated there soon as well. thanks a lot for this, many people will be very grateful for your code.

I cannot seem to get this to work. I tried installing the one from roachfiend's site as well as the geocities file. After installing it appears correctly in the Extensions window, but it now does nothing when I click on BugMeNot, regardless of how many times I click it. I did not uninstall the old version and I'm running 0.9.2 Windows 98
Any ideas?
