Home Theater applet for Firefox

Post by cabriolet2 »

Test it please. Your comments/suggestions are most welcome.

I wrote it last year and have been testing it for several months. For now it runs in Linux only. I’ve only tested in Linux Mint, so I’m curious how it does with other distros.

It works with any browser, but only Firefox has a setting to open command-line URLs in the same tab. It’s designed to work by remote control but keyboard works too.

Firefox toolbar buttons are rather small in newer versions, so Classic Theme Restorer is helpful when aiming at buttons by remote control from across the living room.

Download from here, executable and readme files:

If anybody wants to translate or rewrite the user manual please be my guest.

For those of you who decide to view the README-EN.rft file, be forewarned that it is a 5.0MB file.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Mine has wandered off and I'm out looking for it.
