So finally someone of the German section of translators has found his way to this place in order to toss in a few words...
Goofy had already pointed us to this thread (thanks again, Goofy!), but as he also mentioned, we simply were too busy as to care for something else.
But hey, there's nothing more to add to all those aspects and proposals which have already been made in all the preceeding posts.
The idea itself is simply striking and definitely deserves being supported. A platform for improving conversation between extension delevopers, translators and, not to forget, extension sites like eXtenZilla.it, geckozone.org or erweiterungen.de is more than overdue, so thanks to jooliaan for taking the initiative!

Also it's great to hear that it has already been taken care for the technical preconditions (like server etc.)!

Concerning the project's name: As many others here, I can't think of anything better than BabelZilla! So add my vote here, please!
I don't think that the name necessarily has to contain a clue to extensions. It's a project for insiders and doesn't have to sell anything. And it probably won't last too long anyway till the name speaks for itself... ;) (who would have associated the name "Firefox" to a web browser some time ago... ). And I can't imagine either that MoFo will object if they are informed in advance. Eventually, this project serves their own goals to further spread their applications...

Many thanks for your offer, but you're late. Now we already have everything we need. :D

Of course we will really appreciate if you would help us collaborating to the project :)

Not yet but *Fenian* has the chance to buy one for less than 5 € ;)
We're only waiting to be sure that babelzilla will be the definitively choosen name for the project.
About what you could do for the project, I think that you may have a better answer by writing a PM to *Fenian*

Has anyone asked Mozilla Foundation if it's OK to use babelzilla.
