Thunderbird extension message list help

Hi.

Is there any way to make a custom message list view extension for Thunderbird?

I've been looking for this some time and every time i grasp some info about it the topic is soon dead.

There is even a link in the tb extensions dev page with "how to" do some things with the exact thing i want to do, but the link is empty TODO page.

So, i'm out of options, no documentation, no examples, no tips, nothing.

So can anybody that know more than I in this matter tell me if it is possible to make my own message list view extension, to make my own list view and if so, how to do it?
