Where?
You forced us (developers of extensions for your browser) to use this buggy Developer version because it's impossible to develop and test extensions using the normal version of the browser.
Our extension has never worked in your alpha builds due to different bugs of your browser.
But it always worked in normal version.
How can I continue to develop the extension now??
Where is the STABLE version of Firefox Developer version?

Re: Where is the STABLE version of Firefox Developer version
You must give the developers a way to install their unsigned extensions in STABLE versions of your browser!!
Just build the same STABLE version which allows to run unsigned versions and hide it somewhere from the usual users.

Current Developer version has this bug:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1180409
STABLE does not.
That's why i can't use it.

Did you try to load your unsigned extension through the "Load Temporary Add-on" button in about:debugging?alervd wrote:You must give the developers a way to install their unsigned extensions in STABLE versions of your browser!!

Re: Where is the STABLE version of Firefox Developer version
Developer Edition is not stable, don't expect it to be. An unfortunate name really.
The current release version of Firefox without the signing requirement is available as "Unbranded Builds". Mozilla doesn't want them to be visually identified as a stable version of Firefox but they are essentially identical.
The real Firefox release executables can be modified without recompilation to not require signing of addons, but it is slightly fiddly and probably not needed since the unbranded builds exist.

mozillaZine never forced you to do anything since it is independent and not a part of nor run by Mozilla. Mozilla has their own support site at support.mozilla.orgalervd wrote:You forced us
The Aurora aka Developers Edition is one of four main development channels. The Aurora and Nightly gets checkins almost everyday so they get a update each of those days. Sometimes this can lead to issues until checkins is finished, fixed, or reverted. Release < Beta (b#) < Aurora (a2) < Nightly (a1)
