I had already done this through, custom toolbar buttons extension and just added the code, but this might replace that if u can make it add a toolbar button, because it is much handier than going through menus.

When I read the original thread, I thought "what a great idea, I hope someone runs with it". Well, run indeed! Thanks jedbro. Excellent work. I can't wait for the toolbar icon. That will be the icing on the cake. Great extension.

And thanks for coming up with such a good idea SifelltNeytandi!

I guess I wasn't the only one that created this extension today. I guess I'll scrape it then. :( Anyways, there is a problem with the icon(s) for this extension in the "Customize Toolbar" window. It showing a set of default browser buttons. The solution to this problem is to make sure your stylesheet is correct, also check and see if your contents.rdf and/or chrome.manifest file are correct and make sure you did not forget to apply the stylesheet to customizeToolbar.xul. I hope this helps. :)

If yours was going to work with 1.06 then please do release it. jedbro's extension is great, but it only works for 1.5+

That's because the API is only on Branch and Trunk builds not the current (1.0.x) Aviary builds.

I also very much doubt that the API will be added by the devs to 1.0.x because 1.5 will become the new Aviary branch when 1.5 goes gold.

Saying that though, the way to do it for 1.0.x would be to take the code from the Branch and create an extension solely for the current Aviary builds.
The extension as it stands (for Branch/Trunk) is just a front-end for the API that's already included in those latest builds.

I'm impressed, Jed. I saw that extension when I was looking to update WebmailCompose, thought "Man, he works fast!"

You managed to crank that out, and update all those other extensions for 1.5, too. Amazing.
