Yup. At the moment I believe that this feature hangs on <a href="http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=162044">bug #162044</a> to be resolved. Go and vote for it.

As I have dialup internet access, stopping mozilla/phoenix from even downloading the ads will help!

Something similar happens with your AdBlock settings screen on my machine.

Referring to your screenshot:-

Vertically there is no probelm, but horizontally I see about 3/4 of your screen - the right most part is missing. i.e. I can see most of the "Done" button, but not the "About" button, nor more importantly, the "Add Filter" button.

nice project.

If anyone is looking for a solution that works for any browser I want to suggest the free tool that I use for quite some years. It works as a local proxy an Windows, Linux and MacOS Classic and is very easy to configure. You can add your own URLs too.

As much as I am behind this, I don't like to vote on things I don't understand (like a bad politician) and that bug is greek to me!

Basically what this means is that the user is not able to access some of the internals of the engine, basically some that fall under the nsIUriContentListener, which is the URI Interface for the Content Listener. Now what that means (I'm no moz developer, but this should be a good guess) is that the user is not able to get callbacks (when something happens, the user should be notified, if asked), which means that the user can't override some of what the engine does. All in all, prevention of downloading images and quite a few other things fall under this.

A moz dev is free to correct me on this. I'm only a programmer and taking my best guess

I can't get AdBlock to block the banner ads on SourceForge.net
I put this in as the filter:
*sourceforge.net/banner/*

doesn't work...any thoughts?

EDIT: also tried restarting, and then tried this filter http://sourceforge.net/banner/* that didn't work either...stumped...
