Current version of TBE is 2003121502, and it is working for me on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031212 Firebird/0.7+

Note that Piro says you may need to completely uninstall the previous TBE. I just took the easy way out and made a new profile.

It's now the main download rather than the test build, and it seems to FINALLY work for me as well. There must've been some code added between test and final though, because now it's up to 245KB

Just downloaded the 121502 and it is bigger than the test version. I wonder if Piro edited a file and left the old version in the directory that then got packaged up in the XPI. I've done that many times myself. I don't want to bring down my browser at the moment so will try to install the latest version tonight. Browsers been running all day with no problems.

Actually on Piro's Homepage he has 2003121601 version listed for download. It works great so far.
Now if I could get Roboform and SpellChecker working for optimized builds I'd have the perfect browser.

Great, I'll go download that now. Just as well as I haven't had time to put up 12/15/02.

Okay, the 1601 version is on the Japanese version of his TBE page. English page is still 1502. I'll give the Japanese version a spin.

Ver.1.10.2003121502 or Ver.1.10.2003121601 is available

Post by SoaRex »

On Firebird newer than Firebird 0.7, TBE Ver.1.10.2003121501 or later should be used because internal change was done in Firebird lately and latest TBE is also changed according to Firebird change.

As Goldzilla and others say, new version of TBE works well for me too.
Ver.1.10.2003121502 (or later) is available at TBE owner's site - http://white.sakura.ne.jp/~piro/xul/_ta ... ns.html.en
Ver.1.10.2003121601 is also already available at TBE owner's Japanese language site but it is Japanese installer version.
See http://white.sakura.ne.jp/~piro/xul/_tabextensions.html

Please note that if you upgrade Firebird with TBE in profile to new Firebird build and experienced "no XBL binding" error, one of follwing is probably required :
  1. Go back to former Firebird build and disable TBE,
uninstall TBE(through "About Tab Browser Extentions" button in Tools/Options/Extentions panel),
then go new Firebird build and install new TBE.
  2. Upgrade to TBE newer than TBE Ver.1.10.2003121501 on former Firebird, and upgrade Firebird.
I recommend procedure (1.).

There seems to be a problem with the latest TBE (v1.10.2003121502). Whenever I click to any URL in other apps, FB (as my default browser ;)) will crash immediately.

I didn't encounter this problem with previous version of TBE (v1.10.2003120902 with Piro's UserChrome.css patch).

Does anyone encounter the same problem?

Update:
It seems to be working fine with the latest FB!

I used the following version of FB and it always crash:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031211 Firebird/0.7+

Just installed the following version of FB and it doesn't crash:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20031215 Firebird/0.7+

Guess I'll stick with the latest version of FB then. ;)

Found the problem. TBE v1.10.2003121502 doesn't work hand-in-hand with Linky 2.0.0. :(

So, no Linky for me at the moment. :(

Running TBE 1.10.2003121601 with FB nightly 20031216
Everything seems to be working EXCEPT the new tab command from TBE no longer functions
It doesnt function by right click the tab bar and using the context menu or by double clicking the tab bar
Ctrl T doesnt work either

I never realized how much I relied on double clicking the tab bar for a new tab until now lol
ahhh withdrawls!!
