save URL as a comment

I'd like Phoenix to save the url of the page as a comment in the begining of the saved file.

I don't know if that would be an extension or a feature for Phoenix.

Phoenix gets it from the Mozilla code. It would be nice to have a "Saved from http://,...." at the beginning.

If there's not already a Mozilla bug in Bugzilla, I'd suggest filing an RFE.

are you addressing me to write a post in bugzilla? (that's a RFE?) So, it's of no use to write here?

how can I know if there's another post for the same feature (I won't read all posts!!)

It might not be the best idea to alter the content of the page. But adding a <meta> tag could work (it'd then be visible in the saved page via Tools->Page Info)

Maybe someone's filed this or similar RFE (request for enhancement) but the only way to tell is to search Bugzilla!

Remember, you're making a feature request, not a bug report, so take that into account. But do report back here with the link to the RFE (bug number) once you have filed it!

Yes, I'm suggesting an RFE in Bugzilla. But you should search first to see if it has been suggested.

That bug is for OS X. I think you wanted http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90918

But they might be talking about File Info, not actually inserting it into the source.

If you can't find it in Bugzilla, then I'd say yes. You might want to refer to those bugs, but as far as I can tell, it's not the same.

The reason I posted this here, in "Phoenix Extensions" is because I thought that it should be easy to build an extension to do this. Is this correct? if it is, how can I make it, or suggest this idea to someone that can easily make it.
