Best tab-related extensions?

Post by soccer_dude182 »

There was a time when I couldn't live without TBE, but now after hearing about some of the problems and bloat, along with other tab extensions that practically provide the same features, I think I might get rid of TBE. I could customize almost everything regarding tabs, focus, dragging, everything! I just learned about miniT and that sounds pretty neat. So what tab-related extensions should I get to maximize my tab functionality (I'm planning on upgrading from Firebird .7 to .8 soon :))?
Thanks.

Tab prefs, Session Saver, Minit

All 3 can replace the basic functions of TBE :)

Those extensions almost do it for me...just missing one more feature...tab groups. Is there any other extension that does it other than TBE?

Is it possible to have the tab bar in the bottom, and to have closing a multiple tab session confiormed, without using TBE?

put this in your userchrome.css

Code: Select all

/* Display the Tabbar at the bottom */
#content > tabbox {-moz-box-direction: reverse;}

The only things i miss of TBE (after installing miniT and Session Saver):

- UNDO function for closed tabs
- the feature to switch to an existing tab instead of opening a new one when the link clicked already exists in an tab

Errr... that sucks. I really use the UNDO close tab feature a lot. One of the best features IMO. Maybe this can be added to some other tab extension if it's not too difficult? The other feature is nice, but not a priority for me.
