Let me begin by saying: I am on dial-up.

Because of this simple fact, it is a major pain to download every plugin I need for each version of Px & Moz.

From the old boards: http://www.mozillazine.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=8

"If you have used plugins successfully with mozilla, you should be able to just copy the contents of the mozilla plugins dir to the phoenix plugins dir."

Is this a valid operation? Is it really this simple? :?:

I'm also on dialup.

One of many reasons I like Mozilla/Phoenix is that I don't have to download every plugins each time I update my browser.

Make a copy of the plugin directory and each time you want to re-install the plugins, just drop them in the apropriate folder. Make sure you don't overwrite new files with old ones.

That's all to it.

Yes, I have made all the plugins that I use work on phoenix by installing them into mozilla and then copying them to the phoenix plugins directory

other option (if you are using windows)
define an enviroment variable (thats in woindows, not prefs.js!):
set MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH=folder\where\plugins\are
mine is pointing to default plugins folder of moz, so when i install plugin under mozilla, automatically works with phoenix:)
