FlashBlock
Edits:

It works in my nightlies as it is. It just needs to be repackaged to show as a 0.9 Extension.
I dunno. He apparently has had problems coding it properly but I've uninstalled using the old extension for FireFox 0.8 - Named -- Extension Manager/API -- to remove the FlashBlock on my Nightlies.. (with no problem) and the great thing is that you can remove Extension Manager/API itself through itself... lol.

I came across this extension which a) Hasn`t been repackaged for the new EM and b) is broken from recent changes to Firefox :
cView - Component Viewer. I repackaged it myself and ran into a problem with a file "utilityOverlay.xul" not being present in Firefox. A little research showed that this had broken quite a feq extensions when the change was made (Deepest Sender, Venkman, etc) but no obvious solution i could implement.
If anyone more knowledgable has the time to take a look it would be great.

Are there actually any extensions still that haven't been repackaged ... ?

Sen, I'm not more knowledgable but I do know there is a working patch for Venkman that may provide some insights.

Compatible with: Firefox 0.8.0+ Aviary, Thunderbird 0.6+ Aviary (possibly )
This extension shows old style extensions in the new Extension Manager, and allows you to access their options dialogs and to disable/enable them.
It probably needs a bit more work but since the Extensions panel in Options was removed today (2004-06-03) I decided to release a bit earlier than I had planned. This is a bit of an ugly hack even by my standards but it seems to work OK and nobody has reported any problems yet.

Your link to "Show old extentions" seems to not work.
I run SpiderZilla and would sure like to see it in the extention window.
Thanks for making "Show old extentions". I hope to install it soon.

Hi Pike I have a question about your extenstion.
Hi Pike,
I like your extenstion called bookmark backup and my question is Firefox 1.0 will work with bookmark backup or 0.3 or the newer version 0.3.1

Asssuming nothing major changes between now and the final release then yes Bookmark Backup 0.3 and 0.3.1 will still work with Firefox 1.0. If something does change I'll probably get BB updated before the final release happens.
p.s. Firefox 1.0 will automatically backup its own bookmarks file so the extension will be less useful by then.

now that trunk is THE build
Just wondering if this extension will still be needed or get new life with the trunk builds now coming out since trunk doesn't have the extensions manager; or maybe more correctly once the new extensions manager lands on the trunk.
Anyone?
Show Old Extensions
Otherwise, does this even serve a purpose any longer?

Is the new EM/TM going to be different than what's in 1.0?
PS: Pike, I know I thought I was able to get the new version to work with themes awhile back but that was with much fiddling and, to be honest, I'm not sure exactly what fiddling I did actually got the newer versions to work with TM.
Anyway, I'm still using the 0.1.5 version since it seems to work as soon as I install it....
