RE: Problems with the current Nvidia drivers.

I contacted Nvidia support and they told me to install the latest Hotfix driver located here:
GeForce Hotfix Driver version 445.78 | NVIDIA

So far I haven't had any problems with this hotfix version. This is not to say that there aren't problems. I just haven't encountered any yet.

I really don't recall having problems with the previous drivers. There must be more to the problem than just the drivers. Perhaps it's the card being used or some other factor that makes the drivers do undesirable things. One thing for sure, if they are blocked that's when I run into real problems and have to go back to the last so called good driver.

The fixed add-ons update problem not withstanding I've has an issue with updating for months. Often when I choose to do an update of my add-ons I get a never ending message 'waiting for updates' or something to that affect. Sometimes if I do a check on recent updates I do find a new update. Today I got the same waiting message but didn't have any new updates. As I said this has been going on for months. Anyone else seeing this?

Sometimes it works that way and sometimes it doesn't. Like I said it started happening a few months back.

Definitely not fixed for me. Seems it happens intermittently and I'm sure only when there is an actual update. The update might not be displayed until later however. That is what happened today. Got the waiting message but there was no update for any add-ons at that ime. An hour later I ran the update again and it said no updates, but I looked at my recent updates and I see the uBlock Origin was updated. Wonder if the problem has to do when I manually do an update while Firefox is automatically updating. A timing issue as they say.

FWIW.. I haven't had any issues with the latest Nvidia hotfix drivers. I sure hope they don't block this version also. If there are problems, again I suggest it might depend on the model of card you have and not the drivers per se.

I encountered the issue today Nightly(20200404212740)64bit Windows10.

iv'e had that issue myse;f, only way for me to get the Addon to update is to click on the 3 Dots an click on ' update ' . an then restart the browser, what i hate though is before you could just right cvlick on the Addon an check for update itself, why they took that method away is beyond me.
