I could not find a British English (en-GB) build of the latest Firefox 3.6 beta 1. Is there such and if not, is possible to say when such a build will be available.

Problems with the test builds need to be discussed in the Firefox Builds forum. Please register and post back here. I will then move this for you.

If I'm not mistaken, this is what you're looking for:

^: That is a link to the latest nightly build.
I assume that the OP refers to a missing en-GB version of the Namoroka 3.6 beta 1 release. http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla ... 6b1/win32/ ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/f ... 6b1/win32/

Moving to Builds....

As far as I know they don't create en-GB builds for betas, only final releases. The changes in the various flavours of English are to small to justify the time & effort in building them. I am happy to be proved wrong but I remember reading this some years ago when a similar query was raised.

That's odd considering they do now make nightly builds for ALL locales (including en_GB). But I couldn't find a 3.6b1 for en_GB either.

you've made a good point, Harlequin99. perhaps mozilla either "forgot" to make an EN-GB release of Firefox 3.6b1 or didn't have enough time to make one. better to wait for the EN-GB release of Firefox 3.6 RC or Firefox 3.6 final instead OR Go to the Google Groups "mozilla.dev.planning" usenet groups page and make a new thread requesting an EN-GB build of Firefox 3.6b1 if that will get the attention of the mozilla folks there.

Shouldn't be long to wait, according to today's delivery meeting the RC is scheduled for release on 26th of this month.

I'm fairly certain i was using en-GB builds all through the 3.5 beta cycle (at least, my Firefox automatically updated me to the en-GB versions after that, so it stands to reason).

There's a beta page now:

I think it's fair to say at this point that we're probably going to have to wait for the final release, or the RC at the very least. I think we can probably survive the extra z's and missing u's for a month or two (the release schedule says end of the month, but every single release estimate i've ever seen Mozilla put out, without fail, has been wrong, so i would probably take that with a grain of salt).

You can simply use the nightly instead: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-1.9.2-l10n/ “It's like a riddle wrapped around an enigma fried up in a conundrum with Chinese mustard dipping sauce.” ―Dick Solomon
