Note that the roadmap says 1.0PR is meant to fix Bugs of high complexity/risk. This means that they are taking care of the big, difficult tasks now, and (most likely) the rate at which they fix bugs will rise after 1.0PR.

The green line will soon rise where no green line has gone before. At least I hope so.

I don't suppose you could do this for Thunderbird as well, could you?

Where are you getting the numbers from?

If the same source exists for Thunderbird, perhaps I'd give it a whirl.

Thanks.

I'm using the same bugzilla requests that peter(6) uses in his daily build threads. since tb 1.0 is not planned yet you could do it for 0.8 ....

The slipping begins?

I am astounded that this data loss bug was allowed to not be fixed before the RC.

Yes, quite a few bugs were pushed out to 1.0 at the same time as that one. Actually at this point, a graph of the 1.0PR blockers would be more interesting :) I think there's only about 20 of them left, after the recent load of fixes and a bunch getting pushed out.

Not much to be astounded about - although that bug can have serious consequences, it will only affect a tiny proportion of people (those that do a custom install into a silly place and then run the uninstaller and don't read the deletion prompt carefully enough). The bug existed in Firefox 0.7, 0.8 and 0.9 (as well as Mozilla 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7) - it's not a new thing.

The point of 1.0PR is to get the people already using 0.9 to test the newer stuff, and to lock down the interface text so that people can work on translating it. It might have "1.0" as part of the version, but it's still a test release...

Thanks for that. It explains a lot, except that that bug has been around for too long. :-)

Keep up the good work everyone!

Update !

Firefox 1.0 to be released November. All good though, cos it'll be better then.

Well, actually they are aiming to get 1.0 done before November (cos November is Ben's vacation)
