I'm running XP with a new profile and clean install directory. What I have noticed is that mouse gestures for images have never worked for me, and page navigation mouse gestures have never worked when performed over images. Sometimes I have been fooled into thinking my gesures aren't working, only to realize I was gesturing over an image.
You may wish to try again. I used to use 20021114 as my critical browser, but I'm on 20021125 now.
