When I install a new Firefox program, like one of the builds. I always find 2 or 3 "recovered file fragments" in the program folder. I always delete them. Any problem with that? I haven't noticed any bad effects.

What are the file names? Are you installing over an already installed version of Firefox?

i presume he's talking about

freebl3.chk
nssdbm3.chk
softokn3.chk

those belong to Firefox and are *not* to be deleted ;).

Complete uninstallation of other FF versions. also delete folder from programs. They are this time: freebl3.chk,nssdbm3.chk,softokv3.chk

They're obviously there for a reason. Just because windows is guessing that the file extension means they're files recovered from a checkdisk does not mean that they actually are. I have them on Linux as well. If I had to guess I'd assume they're there to verify the integrity of the .dll ( or .so) that has the same file name.
