Why am I asked by Phonix 04. to update to Mozilla 1.2? If Phoenix is released next week?

What kind of question is that? Who asks you to "update to Mozilla 1.2"? Noone.

AFAIK, http://www.mozilla.org/start/ says so, when the build you're using is more than three weeks old. Which is the case with Phoenix 0.4.

Sounds like we should ask them to scan for "Phoenix" and whatever the new name will be and re-direct to a Phoenix upgrade page.

Or even easier, change the Phoenix start page to something different.

Yeah, but that would make sense. Maybe texturizer.net?

about Phoenix :
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021201 Phoenix/0.4
today (?) build works fine
Works fine in terms of what? Do you mean that visiting http://www.mozilla.org/start/ doesn't tell you to upgrade? Or that Phoenix doesn't take you there at all?
http://www.mozilla.org/start/ will only tell you to upgrade if your build is 3+ weeks old.
