Can't get Firefox 3.7 alpha 2 preview build to work with Direct 2D.
On Bas build Direct2D work good. But on this build i can't.
Also WebGL is not working.
I went to about:config and did all things like in instructions and it's not working.
ABP is disabled.
Graphic card is GeForce 8400GS with 196.34 drivers. (beta) on Windows 7.
Also I have WDDM 1.1

Disable all of your addons. Figure out which one is causing D2D to deactivate.

I have no idea what's going on with WebGL. That is a separate project.

Errr, I didn't think D2D/DW was in 3.7a2, I thought it landed after the branch off...

well, I could be totally off track here, but I thought it branched for a2, when when we were bumped to a3 a couple of days ago, it was after that I thought that DW landed.

A2 branch occured here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=548093 in the 3/1 nightly it seems
Direct2D https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=527707 landed on 2/27 nightly - so I guess DW/D2D could be in A2 branch.

Disable addons, switch to different theme restart, switch back to usual theme, restart x2.

How can I be sure that D2D is enabled/working or not?

Toggle your settings and make use of the rendering benchmarks provided in the original post.

If D2D is working, your V's and W's should look faded..?

Ok, it wasn't working... due to strata40 theme I'm currently using. Disabled right now.

Open a few tabs, then use Ctrl+tab to open the select panel, use the arrow keys to navigate through the displayed tab, note that the highlight does not clear on previous tabs.
this is what I see:

EDIT: This only happens when D2D is enabled.

Ahh, that thing. Ok. It was turned off.

That is most likely related to the other issue where Aero Glass becomes all black.

Starting with today's nightly trunk its no longer necessary to add the pref in about:config for D2D: mozilla.widget.render-mode

Its now added by default and set to off with a value of -1, to enable it you need to set the value to '6'
Those that have manually added the pref and set the value to enable D2D need do nothing.
