Man, how do they ever keep things straight ?
This is supposed to fix the flicker ? https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=589815
This was re-opened which enabled image discard causing the flicker https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=516320
Then moved to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=511899 , then back to 516320

Guess we will know if image discard enabled is fixed in due time.....

What happened to the builds, anybody knows? Click mozilla-central-win32 (first post) > folder 1282596643/ (23-Aug-2010 15:23), see this:

It seems they cut a branch for Fennec and that's the build for Fennec - no idea why/how it got there - the next hourly should be good.

but is it just me, or are the window titles never correct? If I switch tabs, the previous window title remains. The only way to get the correct title is if I open a new window, then close it. But even then, switching to a new tab keeps the old title

happen again only on Windows 7 with non-aero theme.

The First bug fixes the flickering that loads from XUL with Images Discarding. That means tabs and favicons.

The Second bug was an old bug filed for Decode On Draw aimed at fixing overly aggressive Image Discarding and initial load flickering.

The Third bug aims to add a threshold on what gets discarded. Looks like its based on size and usage so far.

Fennec is cute and the changelog is Greek to me. I assume this will be corrected later. Right? I think i've seen this before with one of the b4pre builds (came back in a few hrs and got the correct build).

Yes, in theory it should correct itself. If, however you installed that build - I suppose there is a possibility that you won't get updated to tomorrow's nightly because its not really m-c trunk - but Fennec

Argh, at this point I'm thinking bug 130078 is going to be wontfixed forever. The latest build has huge performance issues and a lot of other rendering related problems. But apparently the stuff that was blocked by it like jetpack panels and new addons manager already landed, so there's no real reason to fix it.

Überview is just terrible.

There are still a lot of bugs that rely on Bug 130078. Among them bugs for Fennec. But also several Tab Candy related bugs and what I think are layout bugs.

You should note the performance problems in the bug that you are experiencing with the latest try-build. System specs, and whether you have d2d on/off and how it behaves with a clean virgin profile. Otherwise, without the info - they are going to push ahead, and then we will find out altogether how bad it is :)

It's a pretty generic regression which strikes in its most ugly form when D2D is disabled and smooth scrolling enabled. At least, that's what I'm experiencing with the tryserver build.

BTW: Where is the proper place to report bugs with tryserver builds? Is it ok to use the normal bugtracker?
